Why We Stock LittleOak Goat Milk Formula

Every family feeds differently. For parents using formula — or combining feeds — it helps to know what is in the tin, what has been left out, and how it is made.

That is why we stock LittleOak at Goo & Co.

LittleOak is a New Zealand goat milk formula made from fresh whole goat milk. It is designed as a complete infant or toddler milk for the stage on the label.

How LittleOak is made

Most formulas start with milk that has already been dried into powder, then processed again. LittleOak’s From Fresh approach starts with fresh, full-cream goat milk from New Zealand and heats it only once before it is dried.

The idea is simple: less processing, so more of the milk’s natural goodness is kept.

The milk comes from goats that are grass-fed in New Zealand. LittleOak also uses a naturally A2 protein profile. Goat milk is typically lower in lactose than cow’s milk, which is one reason some families look at goat milk formula when cow’s milk formula has not agreed with their baby.

This is not medical advice. If your baby has a diagnosed allergy, reflux or feeding issues, speak with your doctor or child health nurse before changing formula.

What they leave out

LittleOak was the first formula in the world certified 100% palm oil free.

It is also made without:

  • Canola oil
  • Maltodextrin
  • Soy
  • GMOs
  • Corn syrup
  • Sucrose
  • Fish oil

What is left out matters as much as what goes in. Palm oil, canola and cheap fillers are common in infant formula. LittleOak built their recipe around avoiding them.

The oil blend and DHA

LittleOak’s current tins use cold-pressed olive oil in the fat blend. Olive oil is less processed than some other formula oils and is naturally rich in oleic acid, a fat also found in breast milk.

DHA is added to support normal brain and eye development. LittleOak sources theirs from algae, not fish oil. Algae-based DHA is used because it is more sustainable, has a lower contamination risk, and does not add a fishy taste or smell.

Which stage do you need?

  • Stage 1 – Infant Formula — from birth to 6 months
  • Stage 2 – Follow-on Formula — from 6 months
  • Stage 3 – Toddler Milk — from 12 months

Stay on the stage that matches your baby’s age unless your health professional tells you otherwise. When you move up a stage, do it gradually if your little one is sensitive to change.

Tins, bundles and sachets

We keep:

  • Single 800g tins
  • Multi-tin bundles (better value if LittleOak is already working for your baby)
  • Travel sachets for days out, weekends away or to try a stage before you commit to a full tin

If you are new to LittleOak, sachets or a single tin are the simplest place to start.

A few practical notes

  • Follow the scoop and water instructions on the tin exactly
  • Use cooled, boiled water for infants
  • Make each bottle as you need it
  • Do not switch formulas suddenly if your baby has a sensitive tummy — ask your nurse or GP first
  • Formula cannot be returned once purchased, even unopened, because of food safety rules

How we like to help

We are a Gold Coast family store. We stock LittleOak because parents asked for a New Zealand-made goat milk option with a cleaner ingredient list, and we wanted it easy to order with the rest of the shop.
